Plants – Minimum order is $600. Minimum order per species is one full flat of 49. Plants must be ordered in multiples of 32 or 49. We no longer sell mixed flats or quantities below a full flat at any price.
Seeds – Minimum order is $100. Minimum order per species is one ounce. No partial ounce orders will be accepted.
Spence Restoration Nursery offers UPS ground and air delivery, delivery by truck, or orders can be picked-up at the nursery by appointment. We ship UPS on Mondays and Tuesdays for delivery by Friday. Allow 30% for shipping and handling. Orders placed by Wednesday can normally be shipped early the following week. Our trucks deliver within a 300 mile radius of Muncie for a fee $2.00 per mile round trip. Truck deliveries will be subject to a minimum purchase greater than stated below, dependent on distance. Large orders may also be pallet shipped by common carrier if the distance exceeds 300 miles.
Our standard container is a 2 ⅜” square X 3 ¾” deep open bottom plastic pot that is sold in a 17” X 17” flat that holds 49 plants or a 10” X 20” flat that holds 32 plants. Please place all orders in full flats of 49 plants.
Prices listed on this site and in our catalog are subject to correction and change. Payment must be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover accepted), before an order will be shipped unless the order is shipped C.O.D, or credit has been approved and the account is in good standing. Customers with established credit have terms of net 30 days, a 2 % monthly bookkeeping charge will be assessed on all overdue accounts. A credit application is available on the next page. Any customer who has a returned check will be charged a $ 25 NSF fee and will be subject to service charges. If an account must be turned over to an attorney or collection agency, purchaser agrees to pay all legal and/or collection fees. All terms and prices listed here are subject to change without notice.
We welcome contract grow orders. With adequate notice we will be able meet your requirements, including production from provided seed, optional container sizes, or production of species not offered in our catalog. We do require a 25% non refundable deposit, and any provided seeds are non returnable. Terms for Custom Orders may vary from our standard terms.
Claims must be reported within 48 hours or two business days of receipt of the material. All shipments turned over to a carrier become your property. Claims for loss from shipping damage must be made to the carrier, not us. However, if you run into difficulty with a claim we will help you in any way possible.
To cancel an order, please contact us to see if a cancellation fee will apply. We must receive notification at least two weeks prior to your scheduled ship date. Cancelled orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee. No exceptions will be made. An order that is cancelled while being pulled, boxed or loaded will be subject to the 25% restocking fee. Plant orders cannot be cancelled after shipment.
Returning seed: If you wish to return seed, contact us for specific instructions. Custom Seed Mixes cannot be returned or cancelled after they have been mixed.
Indiana residents must add 7% state tax.
Illinois residents must add 6.25% usage tax.
Businesses that are sales tax exempt please include a copy of your Indiana Sales Tax Exemption Certificate. Sales tax will be applied to your order until we have your certificate on file. Government agencies and tax exempt organizations must forward a tax exempt number.
We guarantee species to be true to name. However, we give no warranty, expressed or implied, as to performance or longevity. It is mutually agreed that our liability for any errors or other causes is confined to replacement or refund not to exceed the original purchase price.
